The relationship issue

When you read my blog, you might think I am a rich girl with no real job so then I can travel wherever and does not need to pay rent. But believe it or not, there’s no truth in the previous sentence what so ever.

I was on Similan Island and I met this Parisienne family whom has a very cute garçon named Ariel.

I always like French people so I tried to talk to the dad (well the mom is Italian and I don’t speak Italian)… then I knew from the dad that French people get lots of holidays! So they will go travel every time they have a holiday… sometimes they go to visit the grandparents in Italy so that Ariel will spend more time with the grandparents whom he does not live with.

This family gets me to think a lot about relationships. I never spent “family time” with my parents when I was small except when they got home from work really late, we would have dinner together and that’s it. Then again most Hong Kong people work long hours to earn a living for the family especially those who have kids, because they all want to provide a better living for them. The down side is the working parents do not spent much time with the kids, nor the rest of the family. Let alone spending quality time with them since they are so tired during the week and would like to rest more on weekends if they are the lucky ones who don’t need to go back to the office.

So the only thing I still remember from high school economics, “highest value option forgone”, can finally applied.

And it becomes my formula: Money forgone Time, Time = Relationships, so Money forgone Relationships.

Em… but I am more of a relationship person… so my formula is actually reverse… Relationships forgone Money… hence the NO money. SO here I am, if you know what I mean. haha! goodbye for now idealists! Talk more next time!
